Qualifying as an InstructorWe are able to offer a training program for those wishing to qualify as Approved Driving Instructors. There is a three-part qualifying process. Part 1 is a theory test similar to that taken by learner drivers. You will need to sit a 100 question test, divided into four modules, and you must score at least 72.5% in each module. Part 2 is an advanced driving test lasting aproximately 1.5 hours. This will be carried out by a Driving Standards Agency examiner (supervising examiner/ADI). Part 3 is a test of instructional ability, and you will need to show that you can instruct at various levels eg. novice learner and learner to Test standard. This test is also carried out by a DSA SE/ADI who will role-play a learner driver. You may only attempt part 2 and 3 of the qualifying test three times, so thorough preparation is essential. Our Training ServiceWe can help you to prepare for all three parts of the qualifying exam. We can tailor a course to suit you, perhaps working around your current job, and we operate on a pay-as-you-go principle. We can offer free help towards part 1 while you take lessons to prepare you for the part 2 test. Please feel free to call us for further details and an informal chat. |
